I'm guessing that he did this Bobby's b-day, so appy-poly-logies if it's already been covered here, but here's CM's remaster of the 1981 b-day show. I've always loved this one, just because it sounds like they are having so much fun, but I've never heard it this clearly before:

Had a copy of the aud from an fm broadcast. This is crystal clear....a real pleasure!

It's not just a remaster, it's an upgraded source. My copy is from the master, where as the circulating copy is from a multi-gen tape.

Hey, Charlie -

Sorry I missed that and thanks for clarifying. It's so much better than any previous source I've heard, and it is such a fun show.

This is kind of random, but some few (several?) years back, I accosted you on dead.net under the same 'fenario80' screen name, and asked about a soundboard for 09/02/1979, my "first" show, because the audience version on here is pretty rough. You wrote back to tell me that it was in the pipeline, and then it appeared just a few months later in pristine soundboard. I'm eternally grateful for that show; I listen to it - and your 03/09/1981 - all the time. Many thanks.
